How does 38 percent sound?That's what religion researcher David Kinnaman calculates when he adds "the unchurched, the never-churched and the skeptics" to the nones.He calls his new category "churchless," the same title Kinnaman has given his new book. Nigeria launched a court inquest on Friday into the collapse of a church guesthouse in September that killed at least 115 people including 84 South Africans and sparked a diplomatic spat between the two countries. South African officials accused Nigerian authorities of not doing enough to investigate the Sept. 12 accident at the church compound in Lagos of T.B. Joshua. The accident occurred as three more stories were being added to the two-story church building. NEW YORK (Worthy News)– A Doctors Without Borders physician who recently returned to New York from West Africa has tested positive for the Ebola virus, becoming the first diagnosed case in the city, CNN reported. The doctor, identified as Craig Spencer, 33, came back from treating Ebola patients in Guinea about 10 days ago, and developed a fever, nausea, pain and fatigue Wednesday night. The physician, employed at New York's Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, has been in isolation at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan since Thursday morning, the official said. — Source

WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News)– President Barack Obama has broadened his "evolving" views on same-sex marriage, telling the New Yorker's Jeffrey Toobin that gay couples have a Constitutional right to marry, UPI reported. "Ultimately, I think the Equal Protection Clause does guarantee same-sex marriage in all fifty states," Obama said in a new interview about his legal legacy. He's referring to the 14th Amendment, which requires states to apply laws equally to all citizens. JERUSALEM (Worthy News)– Iranian official claimed Tuesday that state security forces arrested a number of spies in the southern province of Bushehr, home to the country’s sole nuclear power plant, the Times of Israel reported. According to Iranian media, the Islamic Republic's Intelligence Minister, Seyed Mahmoud Alawi, claimed the suspects were engaged in surveillance and intelligence gathering, adding that the alleged agents had been serving foreign intelligence services. JERUSALEM (Worthy News)– IDF officials confirmed Tuesday that Hamas had planned to carry out a massive assault by penetrating Israeli communities via tunnels under the border from the Gaza Strip, and then killing or kidnapping as many people as possible, the Times of Israel reported.
